About Us

I was exposed to STEM over 20 years ago through a black inventor’s exhibit. As a mother of three when I heard about STEM and realized its importance, I wanted to make sure that my children were engaged in STEM learning. I volunteered to help start a VEX robotics team. My sons attended a STEM Institute in high school and I continued volunteer. During the summer they engaged in STEM programs. Realizing the importance that STEM would have on the future workforce I knew that all students would need to engage in STEM or be left behind. Thus, I wanted to bring STEM to the community so that youth and their parents could learn about STEM.

No answers are provided to encourage the exploration of the topics through interaction with clergy, family, peers and various research methods. The workforce is rapidly changing and youth will learn that they will have to constantly update their job skills to remain employable. Thus, they are responsible for their education.

My children were raised in church and believe that God is the creator of all things. One of the problems they encountered was learning about the big bang theory at school because it conflicted with their beliefs. As a mother it concerned me because I believe in the Bible. I know that God breathed and man was created. Thus, God gave men life.

In my community there are not many STEM opportunities which I knew would affect underrepresented children disproportionately. When God laid it on my heart to write Christian STEAM I knew that it would bless children and their families as they could engage to learn about their faith and STEAM.

I wrote the majority of this book during COVID and my family was going through many challenges. As a child I struggled with reading and writing and it amazes me that God chose me to write this book. My father use to edit my papers and it frustrated me each time he told me to correct my mistakes. Today I see the fruits of my labor as now I am an author. God utilized all aspects of my life to write Christian STEAM; my experiences as a mother, my weaknesses, the needs of my community and Christian education. This is the first book I have written and with everything going on in my life at times I felt it was too hard. I wanted to quit. I told myself if God gives you a vision he will give you pro vision. Also, I reminded myself that if I just have the faith of a mustard seed I can do it. My journey allowed me to mature in my faith. To God be the Glory!

Mission and Values

Mission Statement

To educate youth about STEAM (science, technology, engineering, agriculture/art and math) from a biblical perspective and to prepare them for careers of the future. Youth apply STEM principles through hands on activities and interaction with STEM professionals.

 Values

We believe that Jesus created the world as stated in Genesis in the Bible.  God is the creator of STEAM and we want to help youth understand the magnificence of God and that man cannot accomplish anything without the things that God created. Youth need to develop a mindset to learn new skills as new jobs will constantly be created as other disappear. We believe that all children need to be educated by experiencing the life application of STEAM theories and concepts they are learning in the classroom.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. John 1:3 NIV
